Steve and Blue play Blue's Clues to figure out what story they should play out. Along the way, they help classic storybook characters find their way back to their storybooks and help a bunny with her story by playing that story's characters

Blue didn't want Steve to read "A Puppy's Day" so they play a game of Blue's Clues to find out Blue's Favorite Story. Along the way, they help Shovel and Pail play out "Jack and Jill", put the pictures telling the story of how Blue met Magenta in the right order, and match the 3 bears with their belongings. The clues were bricks, a wolf and a pig. Steve thought it was the story of the Pig who cried Wolf but the answer was the Three Little Pigs. Because it had a pig who built a house of bricks and a big bad wolf tried to blow down the brick house. After figuring out the answer to Blue's Clues it was story time. Shovel, Pail, Tickity Tock, Magenta, and the 3 Bears all came to hear the story. After the story, Steve sings the so long song and the episode ends.

SpongeBob constantly annoys Squidward (as usual) when he wants to play a game when Squidward wants to do other things (Like planting flowers, reading, painting, and taking a bath). When Squidward shouts angrily at SpongeBob he will never play with him ever he throws SpongeBob out of his house. SpongeBob decides that if he can't play with Squidward he will make a puppet toy version. He builds a puppet named Mini-Squidward to play games with instead; Squidward when he learns this is initially happy that SpongeBob is no longer bothering him, but when he goes to work at the Krusty Krab he notices the people dismiss him when he attempts to impress them and serve their food; but be happy to see Mini-Squidward. In a matter of ten minutes the entire Krusty Krab begins to love Mini-Squidward and they offer him large big tips, Squidward begins to get jealous. SpongeBob and Patrick go to the Palace of Pranks in search of the ultimate prank, and Patrick meets Frank, the owner of the shop. When they try to buy a prank, he adveritses a box of exploding gum, a whoppe cushion, a fake dollar, and vomit (both fake and real). To their delight, the manager sells them a rare can of Invisible Spray for one dollar and tell them to make sure they don't get it on their clothes because it stains. Before they decide on their prank, Patrick remembers the fact that the paint they purchased from Frank stains clothes, and he and SpongeBob take their clothes off so they aren't stained with the invisible paint. They decide to spray a park bench and sit on it, but get in an argument over who gets to spray the bench. During the fight they end up spraying each other down until they are both completely invisible.
