SpongeBob and Sandy are relaxing, looking at the flower shaped clouds until they talk about who would win a race to the top of the big mountain. So Sandy challenges SpongeBob to a mountain-climbing contest, SpongeBob blabs on, not knowing that Sandy is already half way there. SpongeBob hurries on after, and it looks like he got up there before Sandy, but Sandy still wins. SpongeBob then challenges Sandy to a running race to the Krusty Krab, and Sandy blabs on, not knowing that SpongeBob was halfway there. Sandy catches up, and it looks like she wins, but SpongeBob wins instead. Sandy gets angry because it was not fair and keeps saying that land creatures are better than sea creatures with hurtful examples, and the sea creatures do things that Sandy can't do. She is angered by Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward's jokes, she takes off her helmet and her suit. She eventually cannot breathe, and uses a pickle jar as a substitute. At sea, an artist is drawing a sketch, when he accidentally drops his pencil into the sea. The rule of the artist at sea number 1: Always bring a spare pencil. SpongeBob and Patrick are playing 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' using bubbles, when the pencil shoots down like a missile and slams on the ground, making a small crater. SpongeBob draws a jellyfish, then it comes alive. They realize that it's a magic pencil, and wreak havoc on poor Squidward. SpongeBob then draws DoodleBob, a sketch version of himself. DoodleBob wreaks havoc (he steals the magic pencil) until SpongeBob erases him (the eraser end of the pencil is capable of erasing anything, not just drawings). However, the arm is still there, and in the night, it steals the pencil and draws itself. The pencil is snapped in half (DoodleBob has the eraser and SpongeBob has the pencil), then SpongeBob presumes that they both have equal power. SpongeBob has a dream that he is in a hot rod and he got his driver's license. Mrs. Puff also appears in this dream and tears out SpongeBob's license, and right after he is somehow 'propelled' out of his own dream cloud, he sees his real self. He realizes that he has no dream to go to, until he sees Gary's dream cloud. He jumps in, frightening Gary. He is in a vast library, and Gary appears to be humanoid and can speak English. SpongeBob goes out of Gary's dream cloud and into Patrick's. He is on a kiddie ride that costs 25 cents per ride. SpongeBob explains to him that in a dream, he can do whatever he wants. He demonstrates by turning into a skyscraper and making a million identical copies of himself. Patrick says he is already satisfied, and SpongeBob goes out of Patrick's dream cloud. Rarity believes her creativity is lost when a puppet stage she designed is rejected by her customer. Spike, concerned for Rarity, finds an old book in the royal sisters' castle containing a spell that allows her to create anything she imagines on a whim. Rarity is slowly taken over by the book's magic and begins making troublesome glamorizations around Ponyville to suit her creative visions. Spike reluctantly supports Rarity, fearing he will lose her favor if he tries to stop her. Eventually, however, he takes the book away from her in the hopes of keeping her from using the spell, but she remains possessed by the book's dark magic. Finally, Spike musters the courage to tell Rarity what he truly feels about her behavior, which returns her to normal.

The Krusty Krab makes its very first (and only) pizza delivery of the Krusty Krab Pizza after closing time. Despite that they do not serve pizza Mr. Krabs when hearing apparently a big price offer invents a pizza by mashing Krabby Patties into a cheese, pepperoni like pizza and putting it in a box. Squidward is told to deliver it; as he wants to simply go home he asks SpongeBob to do it but Mr. Krabs misinterprets this and says "Great idea...take him with you!!" SB and Squidward prepare to deliver the pizza. However, Squidward despite the obvious fact that SB still cannot drive yet, orders SB to drive and directs him to simply "Back it up." When he tries to shift into reverse to back up the car he backs up but when he stops he and Squidward are already in the middle of nowhere or a desert the next morning and the car is out of gas. During this drive SB reads the words of shift and gear as Korean language. Squidward in genuine regret and anger kicks the boat but ...
